Pugs are friendly playful dogs and although can sometimes be startled by noises or an unfamiliar voice, quickly become adapted to their environment. Pugs can live with other dogs although they generally are not good with cats unless introduced at an early age.
Pugs are relatively low maintenance besides some cleaning required under the folds of skin and around the muzzle.
Pugs are very good indoor dogs. They are lively however can certainly live inside. They love to walk so regular outside exercise on a leash is a must. Just make sure to keep the walks short and don’t walk in the hot part of the day, due to the aforementioned breathing and overheating issues.
